e-Safety Check Pink Slips

Is your vehicle due for registration? Do you need a Safety Inspection to obtain your registration renewal?

Roads and Maritime require a mandatory Safety Check on vehicles that are five years and older.  Safety checks are a basic mechanical inspection, targeting vehicle components that may cause a risk to vehicle occupants and other road users if they are not operating correctly or are excessively worn.

Brown’s Automotive is an authorised Safety Check Station and can provide you with a Safety Check for registration purposes.

e-Safety Check
Brown’s Automotive can provide you with an e-Safety Check certificate upon successful inspection of your vehicle. The e-safety check is submitted online to the Roads and Maritime (formerly RTA) and once approved, the check is valid for 42 days from the date of issue.

By submitting the e-Safety Check results online, you save time and can easily renew your vehicle registration online through myRego or over the phone rather than wasting time waiting at the Roads and Maritime offices.

How long do e-Safety Checks take?
The check takes approximately 30 minutes to carry out.

What does an e-Safety Check involve?
Our qualified mechanics will base their report on your vehicle on the following components:
